Every other huge thriller of Dwelling on the Rock linked to the tune machines is the Pink Room which in the intervening time plays “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” from the Nutcracker Ballet by Tchaikovsky On the promotional album from the Eighties that modified into as soon as sold in the Reward Shop (on cassette and then later re-released on CD) nonetheless, one can glean the song title for the song the Pink Room plays as “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” (and issues are reputedly as they would perhaps well well also just nonetheless be) nonetheless then while you be all ears to it nonetheless, you hear a truly different creep from the Nutcracker identified as “Dance of the Reed Flutes”. Apparently despite it being listed on the album as “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”, it did NOT play this piece till the the late Nineties up till undergoing a renovation performed in late 1999 after Jordan’s death.

In point of truth, there in spite of the whole lot isn’t any recording on the promotional album of “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” seemingly because it didn’t play that when those had been being made in the Eighties for it to be recorded. For all I do know, the early vision and what creep it modified into to play from the Nutcracker modified into unclear and colorful Jordan, he had a form of disagreements alongside with his workers and perhaps this modified into a form of issues in the planning/sorting out section that they fought over or someone didn’t know the distinction between the 2 pieces leading to the song title discrepancy on the album for this machine (nonetheless, no person will seemingly ever know unless they know the perfect backstory of this topic). I’m obvious, it’s miles a spell binding epic even supposing.

There modified into an early plan in the Alex Jordan Heart that mentions “Dance of the Reed Flutes” and “Sugar Plum Fairy”. From this, it looks Alex Jordan intended to get it play “Dance of the Reed Flutes” moreover to “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and that the popular notion modified into to call it the “Rose Salon”.

The truth that it plays “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” on the novel time makes sense that it’s miles correct an even bigger and extra healthful tune for the Pink Room and coincides system higher with the novel orchestral visual. In case you assume of it, it having fun with “Dance of the Reed Flutes” would get higher gave away that they had been piping in a recording as there never modified into any visual flutes (and there had been flutes heard auditorily) so one would’ve seemingly seek files from abet then where the flutes had been coming from (which this tune modified into reputedly nothing bigger than a raw backing tune from an LP with additive synth embellishments moreover to are living having fun with tuned and untuned percussion).

When it performed “Dance of the Reed Flutes” it furthermore modified into only section of the tune that it performed where there modified into extra string crescendos (which is in direction of the discontinuance of the stout piece). That creep correct didn’t seem trusty for this elaborate display veil (in particular only having fun with a section of a shorter tune). The Pink Room having fun with “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” as it does on the novel time entails what sounds to me relish a keyboard glockenspiel (relish what modified into heard in Mozart’s Magic Flute). The glockenspiel nonetheless modified into never heard or frail in “Dance of the Reed Flutes” nonetheless there is a visual keyboard beneath the shaker chimes which is where the sound of the glockenspiel comes from on the novel time and it obvious sounds convincingly staunch too. In the times of it having fun with “Dance of the Reed Flutes” (which it sounds relish that is originally all it performed), it might perhaps perhaps well well get correct been a visual keyboard because it might perhaps perhaps well well get existed in 1979 upon completion of the visual section.

With this novel, this is also a trademark that *perhaps* Jordan did intend on having it play “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” (which would feature this instrument) as an different for then re-envision it having fun with “Dance of the Reed Flutes” after the visual corresponding with “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” modified into whole. Then as soon as more, “Dance of the Reed Flutes” had the marimba and tubular bells play (which would get arrive from theatre organs) nonetheless I’ve never heard any of those play on the novel time when it plays “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”. These instruments on the novel time seem to be correct an artifact of the times when it performed “Dance of the Reed Flutes”.

The Pink Room might perhaps well well also very effectively be the most mysterious tune machine there historically for the explanations I correct talked about!
